Delta Dental has announced its ongoing commitment to supporting the oral health of America’s veterans through its partnership with the Dental Lifeline Network (DLN). Since the partnership began in 2020, Delta Dental companies across the country have contributed over $761,000 to support the mobilization of $13.2 million in donated oral health care for veterans in need.
DLN matches veterans who are elderly, disabled, or medically fragile with volunteer dentists and labs that provide treatment at no cost. This is especially important as many veterans do not have dental coverage through their VA benefits. Delta Dental expresses gratitude to the oral health providers who have generously donated their time and expertise to help these heroes.
James W. Hutchison, president & CEO of Delta Dental Plans Association, highlights the impact that oral health can have on overall well-being and emphasizes the importance of supporting veterans. He states, “America’s veterans answered the call for our country, and through our partnership with Dental Lifeline Network, Delta Dental is working to do the same for them.”
Lynda Ricketson, DLN president & CEO, expresses appreciation for the partnership with Delta Dental in advancing oral health care for veterans and acknowledges the significant role played by dedicated partners like Delta Dental in enhancing the quality of life for those who have served.

In addition to its partnership with DLN, the Delta Dental Institute, in collaboration with Delta Dental companies and dedicated partners, is committed to advancing oral health for all Americans. Through oral health research, community outreach, and advocacy, the institute strives to ensure that everyone understands the importance of oral health to overall well-being and has access to the care they need.
Delta Dental Plans Association, based in Chicago, Illinois, is the not-for-profit national association of the 39 independent Delta Dental companies. It is the largest dental benefits provider in the nation, covering over 89 million Americans and offering the country’s largest dental network with approximately 152,000 participating dentists. Over the past decade, Delta Dental companies and their foundations have invested over $1.9 billion to improve oral and overall health in communities across the country.
